Stationary Belt Skimmer
BELT OIL SKIMMER M4, M8 and MB
These belt skimmers do not have a stabilizer bar but the belt is hanging on the tails pulley and the weight of the pulley provides the needed tension of the belt. By means of this design any individual belt belt length can be realized.
How to choose the proper unit:
Oil separation capacity and material of drive unit:
Depending on the needed capacity fist you choose a skimmer with a 100 mm wide belt or with a 200 mm wide belt. For higher capacities there are multi-belt arrangements available. The separation capacity mainly depends on the belt width whereas the capacity does not depend on the belt length. The drive unit is available in coated steel and in stainless steel.
Belt length:
The belt length is determined as single distance between the upper and the lower pulley. When the level of the fluid is changing the tail pulley should be submerged all the time.
Belt material:
Belts are available in stainless steel, elastomer and polymer materials.
Options, accessories:
We can provide the skimmer units with flameprroof motors, with air motors, infrared heaters and some more options. An oil concentrator can be directly fitted to provide a virtually complete oil/water separation.
